2014 Annual Induction Banquet

Posted on September 19, 2013 by gdowdy Posted in Events

Please make your plans now to attend this year’s Arkansas Academy of Computing Annual Banquet and Meeting to be held Friday evening and Saturday morning April 4-5 in Fayetteville. This promises to be another outstanding meeting including an impressive group of new members as well as an interesting business meeting with presentations by a number of Arkansas-connected leaders in computing.

Friday evening the banquet will again be held at the Springdale Country Club and will include the brief introduction of our new members.  Our dinner speaker Friday evening is French Hill, CEO of Delta Trust and Bank in Little Rock.

Saturday’s business meeting will be held as before in the JB Hunt Building on campus in Fayetteville beginning with breakfast and ending at noon.  We are very fortunate to have put together a program of outstanding speakers including Randy Mott – CIO of General Motors, Phil Mui –Chief Product and Technology Officer for Acxiom Corporation, UAF Assistant Professor Tingxin Yan speaking about Mobile Crowdsourcing and what is likely to be a spirited panel discussion of the serious gap between the research interests/needs of universities and business led by Jerry Adams. It will be a busy and eventful morning!

What makes these meetings successful however is YOUR attendance. Please make you plans now to attend. We look forward to seeing you again!
