Dr. Kathy White Loyd is a respected corporate leader, entrepreneur, philanthropist and educator widely recognized for her contribution in the fields of information technology, health care and economic development.
She serves on the Board of Directors for Mattel, Inc. and has been on the board since 2001. She was on the Novell, Inc. board from 2003-2008. Dr. Loyd is a limited partner on the Board of Advisors for Southern Capitol Ventures, Inc. and Bull City Venture Partners (both located in Raleigh NC), The funds invest in technology start-ups.
Currently, she is the College of Business Interim Dean and the executive director of the newly formed” Women’s Business Leadership Center” at Arkansas State University. She was an executive-in-residence at the Bryan School of Business at the University of North Carolina-Greensboro from 2011-2016.
During her career, she has served as a corporate officer and chief information officer for several Fortune 500 companies. After leaving Cardinal Health (CAH: $90 billion healthcare and distribution company) as Executive Vice President E-commerce and Chief Information Officer, she devoted her energies to entrepreneurship and philanthropy. She has provided over $1 million to support technology programs and scholarships in rural areas of Arkansas, Colorado, North Carolina and West Virginia. During the same time period, she founded Rural Sourcing, Inc. (a for profit company) providing low cost technology services using employees in rural regions of the United States. Clarkson Consulting acquired in the company in 2008 retaining the brand name.
Dr. White Loyd holds an undergraduate degree and M.B.A. from Arkansas State University and a doctorate from the University of Memphis.
