Kim Clower, Director of Information Technology at General Motors, joined GM in July of 2012 to help drive one of the largest IT transformation initiatives in the history of the automotive industry.
Prior to joining GM, Ms. Clower spent 7 years at Hewlett-Packard, where she most recently served as Vice President, IT, Global Consumer Support and Services. In this role, she had end-to-end ownership of all assets utilized in HP’s Consumer Support Call Centers spanning the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Ms. Clower also served as Vice President, IT, Business Operations, Security, and Infrastructure, where she was responsible for Strategy and Planning, Portfolio and Infrastructure Management, Enterprise Architecture, and Asset Management for HP’s Imaging and Printing Organization.
Prior to joining HP, Ms. Clower served as the Director of Global Technology and Development at Dell, Inc. She held a variety of positions in her 5 years at Dell, where her responsibilities included Integration Services, Collaboration, Application Tools Development, and Shared Services Project Management Office (PMO). She also led Account Management and Solutions Delivery Teams for Dell’s Logistics and Distribution function.
Prior to joining Dell, Inc., Ms. Clower served in a variety of senior management roles at J.B. Hunt Transport and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. She has over 20 years of IT experience and was recently honored by the University of Arkansas College of Engineering, where she received the 2012 Distinguished Alumnus Award and was inducted into the Arkansas Academy of Computing.
Kim holds both a B.S. and M.S. Degree in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas. She is based in Austin, TX.
