Members – Nominations
Membership into the Academy is controlled by the Executive Committee.
Qualifications for membership, as provided by Academy bylaws, are as follows:
Persons who are:
- born or educated in Arkansas who have made a sustained and substantial contribution to computing, or
- not born or educated in Arkansas but who have made a sustained and substantial contribution to computing in Arkansas.
Eligible persons will have been active in computing or information technology field for at least 20 years. Nominations will be judged on professional achievements, ties to Arkansas, and service to the community.
Now accepting nominations for the 2017 class through July 31, 2017.
The Academy is now accepting nominations for membership through July 31. During the months of June and July, the Executive Committee will review nominees, rank and vote for the 2017 membership class. The Executive Committee normally limits to ten (10) new members in a given year. Membership decisions will be communicated via the sponsoring member.
Please note: Invited nominees for membership must attend the Fall Inductee Banquet on Oct. 27/28 2017 in Little Rock.
