Michelle Talley has been a professional software developer for 25 years. She is currently a Senior Software Developer at Acxiom Corporation. Michelle has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a M.S. in Applied Computing from the University of Central Arkansas. She has held various IT job roles from project manager to client consultant for several companies as well as owned her own business.
Michelle has a passion for helping young women discover their inner geek and learn more about computers and technology. Michelle is a founding member of the Girl Power in STEM (GPS) conference at UCA. GPS is a conference for 8th grade girls in Arkansas to gain hands on experience, learn about careers in STEM, and to make personal connections with female STEM professionals. Michelle has also sparked girls interest in computing since 2001 through speaking and workshops at the Girls of Promise Conference at UALR, Girls In STEM Camp at the Museum of Discovery, and G1rsls C0de at the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences and the Arts.
