Ron’s career began in Little Rock in 1965 with IBM. During his twenty-seven years with the company he held many positions, including Systems Engineer, Staff Instructor, Senior Market Support Representative, and Planning Manager. After retiring from IBM in 1992, he began working for the Acxiom Corporation. His roles with Acxiom included co-Business Unit Leader for Technical Training and Internal Systems Leader. He was with Acxiom for eight years, and afterwards, he provided consulting services for Cardinal Systems for three years. During a career that spanned forty years, he was a participant in and a witness to several revolutions in computing. In 1965, computers were costly, filled rooms and were driven by punched cards. Today they are hand-held, inexpensive, and essentially freely communicate with the world. Along the way, he has been privilege to work with some truly outstanding people.
