Vance Moore is Senior Vice President‐Operations of Mercy Health. Vance joined Mercy Health in April 2002 after 17 years in health care with Baxter/Allegiance, Cardinal Health and the health care division of the UPS Logistics Group. His career has included operational and sales roles in health care consulting, distribution, manufacturing, third party logistics and provider operations. In his prior role with Mercy, Vance served as President and CEO of Resource Optimization & Innovation (ROi), Mercy’s supply chain division and globally recognized as a leader in health care supply chain management.
Today, Vance is responsible for corporate oversight of ROi and the Mercy Technology Services (MTS) business unit which operates one of the largest and most highly integrated provider‐based health IT platforms in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas. Additionally, Vance leads the Performance Acceleration group which includes clinical, operational, and financial resources focused on leading initiatives that include a collaborative redesign and optimization of fragmented business and clinical service lines. Through direct work with physicians and other key clinical and business leaders, the initiatives aim to reduce variation across the system by aligning patient care with evidence‐based protocols. These care protocols are supported with automation tools that assist in repeatable and sustainable performance, improving margins while enabling Mercy co‐workers to focus more time on evaluating patient needs and providing quality care and services.
Additionally, Vance is a board member of the Strategic Marketplace Initiative (SMI). The Bellwether League (healthcare supply chain hall of fame), and Omnicell Incorporated (NASDAQ:OMCL). Vance has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from the University of Arkansas.
