Doug has worked in information technology, primarily in financial services and software development, for over 40 years – with the last 23 years in Arkansas.
Doug worked for 18 years in the banking industry for BMA Management Support Corporation, a financial services processing center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He began his career as a programmer and was promoted to various technology, operations, and sales management positions, culminating in the position of Senior Vice President.
In 1994, Doug joined Arkansas Systems, moved to Little Rock and continued his career with Euronet Worldwide subsequent to the company’s acquisition of Arkansas Systems in 1998. As he did in Utah with BMA, Doug has managed nearly every area of the Euronet Software Division organization holding positions of Manager of Delivery, Manager and Vice President of Account Management and Project Management, Vice President of Customer Service, and Vice President of Systems and Development and Operations.
Doug retired from Euronet in 2018 as Vice President of Global Development and CIO/CTO of Euronet’s EFT processing centers around the world. The Electronic Financial Transactions (EFT) and Payments Software Segment of Euronet provide comprehensive electronic payment solutions consisting of Independent ATM networks (IADs); ATM network participation, ATM outsourcing–including Automated Deposit Terminal (ADT’s), POS solutions, credit, prepaid, and debit card in-house and outsourced solutions, merchant acquiring services as well as a suite of integrated software solutions for electronic payment and transaction delivery systems.
Doug currently serves as Board Chairman and Audit Committee Chairman of Euronet Merchant Services, a subsidiary of Euronet Worldwide located in Athens, Greece.
With his financial services background and technical acumen, Doug has a unique ability to marry deeply technical concepts with business elements at an international level and provide payment solutions worldwide.
Ties to Arkansas
Based in Euronet’s Software Division headquarters in Little Rock and in his various roles, Doug is responsible for the hiring of many staff members and exposing them to the role that they and technology can play in bettering the financial community around the globe.
