Director of the Cyberspace Operations Research and Education (CORE) Center and Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science. He is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientist for Bastazo, Inc., and leads research and product development strategy. He is a Certified Information Systems Security Profesional (CISSP)
Formerly, Philip was Director of Critical Infrastructure Security, Arkansas Electric Cooperative led the cyber security program to implement risk-informed security controls applying to cyber system functions.
Philip has been a leader in more than $8 million in grants. He is also active in professional organizations including a member of the ACM Committee to Revise the Cybersecurity Guidelines for Foundational Cybersecurity Courses, (2023-Present); Organizer, Southeast Symposium on Contemporary Engineering Topics, Arkansas Engineering Forum, Little Rock, AR. (September 1, 2019 - September 15, 2022); Committee Member, Arkansas Department of Education Computer Science and Cybersecurity; Curriculum Committee. (September 1, 2020 - December 31, 2020); Executive Advisory Board Member of the Department of Energy CRISP (Cyber Risk Information Sharing Program) (2018); North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) Standards Drafting Team, Co-Chair (2008-2014)
